It is with great sadness to fans from around the world that beloved author, activist, and pioneer long-distance runner, Patricia Nell Warren, lost her battle with cancer in the early hours of  Saturday February 9th 2019 in Santa Monica, CA.

We would like to thank everyone for the amazing and heart-warming messages that continue to pour in via email and social media from all who loved her. It is evident from those messages that she touched the lives of countless people globally.

In the weeks just prior to Warrens' passing, she was able to put the finishing touches on the 4th and final book in The Front Runner series. The Front Runner (originally published in 1974), along with its two sequels, Harlan’s Race (1994) and Billy’s Boy (1997), have all enjoyed a huge following. How fortunate her fans are that Warren has left us with a cherished gift of a final sequel to the series. Warren expended tremendous energy while fighting cancer to make sure this book was completed. It was her last labor of love and a gift to all of us.

Warren had the dream of producing versions of her novels for film and television and that dream is still very much alive. The estate is actively  working on setting up The Front Runner as well as her other novels for production.

She was a pioneer in becoming a self-publisher in 1994 through the formation of Wildcat Press. Wildcat Press will continue to operate under the loving care of her estate. The estate is managed by Greg Zanfardino (323) 867-4701

Patricia's books can be purchased on the publishing company's website Wildcat Press as well as Amazon.com, however, puchasing them from Wildcat Press avoids us from paying 60% to Amazon.
